prepared by our fabulous cook, Diane Zimmerman.
- We encourage you to take advantage of included meals, as they are
included in your fees. Your child may, however bring a cold lunch if
they wish, with milk available. Please know, however, that Summer Care
fees are not reduced if your child chooses to bring their own lunch.
What types of activities can I expect for my child to be involved in?
- Because we are a Christian-based program, Christian values,
devotion, and song time are a fixture in our daily routines.
- Weekly story time at the library
- Arts and Crafts
- Wildwood Park programs
- Inside and outside playtime
- Additional fieldtrips (bowling, swimming, etc.) approximately
once a week at a minimal cost to you.
What should my child wear to Summer Care?
- Please take the time to assess each day whether your child is
dressed appropriately for the weather.
- If your child wears sandals, please make sure they are safe for play.
- We encourage your child to have tennis shoes available each day at
Summer Care, as we do sometimes take longer walks.
- Please make sure your child has a labeled bottle of sunscreen with
them at Summer Care.
What type of items is my child allowed to bring to Summer Care,
and what must stay at home?
- Trading cards (Pokemon, for example), are not permitted at Summer Care.
- Games with any sort of violent nature are not permitted.
- Gameboys are permitted, however time for playing is limited to
before breakfast or during allotted times on rainy days.
- Please be aware that bringing expensive electronic equipment or
games is a decision you must really think over carefully. In the past,
we have had children lose games or trade them with one another, which
resulted in frustrated parents, children and staff. Please be aware
that we are not responsible for anything that your child brings to
Summer Care and is lost, etc.
How can I register my child for Summer Care?
- Come to our office at 604 S. Chestnut Ave, Marshfield
