November 2008

We have extra early dismissal days this month which coincides with the Marshfield School District calendar. We will have our regular early dismissal at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5th and additional early dismissals on Wednesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 13th. Please mark your calendars accordingly.

Grades for the first quarter will be given to parents at Parent/Teacher conference time on Thursday, November 13th. School will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. that day and conferences will begin at 1:45 p.m. Parents should call the school office to schedule conferences. There will be no school on Friday, November 14th.

Also during the week of Parent/Teacher conferences, PTL is once again hosting the Scholastic Book Fair. Watch for more details on the book fair in the near future.

Grades K-4 will be attending the play, "Charlotte's Web," on November 13th, and grades 5-8 will be attending the play, "My Heart", on November 19th at the Lucille Tack Center in Spencer.

Also on November 20th, grades 7 and 8 will be spending a day at Wisconsin Valley Lutheran High School experiencing what a typical day at high school is like. This will be a valuable experience for our junior high aged students.

The Mr. Z's pizzas will be delivered on November 21st. If you have placed an order with a student for Mr. Z's items, please plan on them being delivered to you around this time.

Our student council has asked Mrs. Zimmermann to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for the school as our school lunch for the day before Thanksgiving break. The whole school will eat together and give thanks for the many things God has given us and continues to give us.

May your month of November and Thanksgiving holiday be a blessed time to remember all that God has provided for us. "O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever."

In Christ,
Karen Bahn, Principal
