School News - June 2017

We have made it through another successful school year. We give thanks to God for His love and care throughout the year and ask His blessings on our summer ahead.

Congratulations to our eighth grade graduates: Kimberly Backaus (Salutatorian), Isabella Hebert, Jordyn Helgerson (Valedictorian), Kayla Larsen, Caleb Moore, and Rachael Redetzke. We pray God’s blessings on them as they continue their education in high school.

Congratulations also to our Kindergarten graduates: Jonathan Bores, Riley Henderson, Alaina Howard, Evan Kuhnau, Sophia Sessions, and Holy Swarup. God bless you all!

We still have room in our 4K classes and our K-8 classrooms. If you are looking for a quality, Christian educational environment for your child, please call the office. We would love to have you as part of our school family. Please invite your friends to consider our great school as well.

Thanks to all who supported our Race for Education and spaghetti dinner. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards technology expansion in the school. Thank you all again for your generous support!

We would also like to thank all of you for your continued support and prayers for our school. We are honored to be part of the great ministry here at Immanuel.

Our theme for this past school year was “Immanuel: God with Us” based on 1 Kings 8:57. God is always with us both here at Immanuel Lutheran and everywhere else we might be. We are never alone. We pray that the students and families of our school never forget that God is always there and that He loves us.

Have a blessed summer!

In Christ,

Dr. Karen Bahn, Principal

School News - May 2017

Our Race for Education will take place on May 12th. There will be a kick-off spaghetti dinner the evening of May 11th. You can purchase tickets for this meal in the office. Thank you for your support of our school. Also, special thanks to Rachelle Meyer for heading up the race committee and all those who are assisting her.

Congratulations to our eighth grade graduates: Kimberly Backaus, Isabella Hebert, Jordyn Helgerson, Kayla Larsen, Caleb Moore, and Rachael Redetzke. The graduation service will take place on Thursday, May 25th at 6:30 p.m. with a cake reception following. Please remember our graduates in your prayers as they move on to their high school years.

Friday, May 26th is the last day of school and our school picnic. We will begin the day with chapel followed by our awards ceremony. During the awards ceremony, the Kindergarten class will be having its own graduation ceremony. The students then will proceed to the gym for yearbook signing, and then we will load the buses to head to the park in Hewitt for our picnic. The students will play games and eat a hot dog lunch provided by PTL as well as desserts and relishes supplied by the school families. You are welcome to join us.

We are enrolling now for the next school year. There are openings in the 4K classes and in grades K-8 as well. If you are looking for a quality, Christian education for your child, please consider Immanuel.

Our theme this year has been “Immanuel: God with Us.” God promises in His Word that He is always with us wherever we go. We pray that our students and families continue in His Word and keep learning more about Him.

We ask God’s continued blessings on the families, students, and friends of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. Have a blessed summer!

In Christ,

Dr. Karen Bahn, Principal
