Dear Parents,
Immanuel Lutheran Church wants your children in worship! We know
that sometimes it seems difficult. We hope that you continue to
teach your children how to participant in worship.
If you feel that your children are disruptive we ask that you take
the following steps:
- Begin by presenting something new to them. We provide "Little
Lutheran Bags" in the Narthex entrance with several items for small
children. Ask an usher or pick one up before you are seated.
- Stay as long as you can in the sanctuary, many of us are parents
and understand if the child is making some noise.
- If you feel the need to leave the sanctuary, have one parent take
the child to the Chapel in the back of the sanctuary. We have set
aside an area for children to play while the parent continues to
worship.
- Please do not take your whole family to the Chapel. Return to
worship with your family as soon as you feel your child has settled
down.
- The Chapel is also appropriate for babies that are crying and need
to be comforted.
We are pleased that you choose to worship as a family. From
experience we know that there are great benefits for a family that
shares an hour of worship together.
Please tell us how we can be of any more assistance to your worship
experience. Contact Sheila Thomack our Director of Family Ministry
with any questions you may have.
