Immanuel Lutheran Child Care Center

Our child care center makes every attempt to create a learning atmosphere that will be more reflective of the home than of a formal school classroom. We provide each child with a wide variety of spiritual, cognitive, emotional, physical, and social experiences that are interactive and fun. Skills such as sharing, cooperation, self-confidence, and respect for others are taught and reinforced throughout the day. We strive to create a positive self-concept as well as meet the unique needs of every child enrolled within our program.

Immanuel Lutheran Child Care Center offers a variety of programs for children ages 3-5:

  • All year full-time care
  • Part-time care
  • Drop-in care also available as space and staffing allow

Our child care center also offers a variety of school age programs for children 6-12 years of age which includes:

  • Before Care for students prior to the start of the school day
  • After Care for students after the school day is completed
  • Care is also available on No School days, Early Release days, and Snow days as space and staffing allow
  • Summer Care throughout the summer months

February 2018

We now are into the second semester and are busy planning for the next school year. Please watch the Monthly Memo, and other school publications, about enrollment for next year and information on upcoming open houses. If you know someone who would be interested in the excellent, Christian education we offer here at Immanuel, please encourage them to give us a call or stop by.

The National Accelerated Reader Challenge has begun. Students in LCMS schools read as many books as they can in the six weeks of the challenge. They then take tests through the Accelerated Reader program at each school to earn points. These points are calculated each week to see where students rank. This is a great event and encourages reading. Check the school ramp to see where we rank against other schools.

There is an early dismissal on Wednesday, February 7th and no school on February 12th for Immanuel students only. Mid-quarter grades will be on Fast Direct on February 16th

The basketball season will be finishing in February. There are still a few games left. If you are interested in attending a game, please check the Monthly Memo for dates. Go Spartans!

PTL is also busy preparing for the School Carnival on March 10th during our Lutheran Schools’ Week (Mar. 3-10). Our carnival is a wonderful outreach to the community and a lot of fun! PTL will be taking donations of cakes for our cake walk as well as items for the silent auction. If you are interested in donating items or helping at the carnival, please give us a call. We hope to see you there!

During the month of February, we are often thinking about love. We see hearts and valentines in the stores. The color red is everywhere. The Bible tells us that “God is love” May we share His love to everyone we meet.

In Christ, Dr. Karen Bahn, Principal
